RWFF held its annual awards ceremony on Thursday 19th March 2026. The awards were presented by the Angling Trust’s Mark Egerton.

Paul takes the Shrimpmasters title

RWFF club treasurer, Paul Wild, has won the 2025/26 Shrimpmasters league. The event is held at Grafham over 6 days during November, December and January.

Before the final match on January 25th, there were 8 anglers in with a chance of lifting the trophy but in the end the winner was the ever consistent Paul.

Well done Paul, the club is very proud of you!

Hinckley Shield win

On Saturday 1st November, the RWFF team won the Hinckley Shield. This is a tough bank match, held this year at Grafham Water. Congratulations to the team members: Paul Wild (captain), Chris Evans, Frank Daley, Gary Cooper, Neil Squires and Andrew Flitcroft.

The honour of arranging the 2026 match now comes to RWFF and it will be fished on the banks of Rutland Water.
