On Thursday 23rd of February we held our annual forum with Anglian Water managers. The evening’s event was in the form of a presentation by Will Kirstein, overall parks manager, and Andy Ainscough – senior ranger at Rutland Water.
The evening was chaired by Paul Wild our treasurer, who tabled the questions from members. The President thanked Will and Andy and Paul who provided very comprehensive coverage of the plans for the 2023 season. This included details about the new online booking system, details about the price structure and stocking.

We held our members tackle auction on Thursday 9th February. As a club, we are very grateful that Jeff Dale, well-known local auctioneer, kindly agreed to provide his services for the evening.
A big thank you to members who brought along many items for the sale, but, sadly, many went for a song, including some real quality equipment. Items ranged from small fly boxes to quality chest waders and some good quality rods.
The President thanked Jeff Dale for his services. He also thanked Paul Wild for keeping the accounts, Tim Lawson & Tina Barton for assembling the lots and to Elaine Connor for exhibiting the items for sale.
