The first RWFF social event of the winter will be the fly-tying evening to be held at Empingham Cricket Club at 7:30 pm on Thursday 2nd December 2021.

We are very grateful to Elaine Connor, Pat Bonner, Tina Barton and Jayne Walker who have kindly agreed to provide a buffet at 9.00pm.

We have got some excellent fly tiers for the evening. They have kindly agreed to tie a range of patterns from peacock buzzers to shrimps, dry flies, snakes and anything else you may request.

Not only will they be tying the flies will maybe let you, if you are new to it, to “have a go” yourself. Also, most importantly, giving you some idea how to fish them. On the basis that it is “not what you use but how you use it”!

It is a great evening, and you can wander around and chat.
